London

London is one of my favourite cities in the world. Mainly because you can find just about everything there, and you can't be wrong. I go there as often as I can, but I only wish I had the time and money to go there more often. I hadn't been there for two years when suddenly in late August my boss told me to go on a StoryServer course. Sure, I said - where? And when he told me ”London” I was so happy. Going there I felt it had been far too long since my last visit. True, not much had changed.. ;) but that's also part of the charm with good old London. And there is always a lot of things to do anyway. So.. what else did I do? Well, why don't you check out my Reload (called Lotta at work) from August?

So what's so great about London? The markets, for one thing. The larger ones, like Portobello Road, Petticoat Lane and Camden Market are sometimes a bit too crowded, but that is part of their charm. Some have their very own fashion. Last time I went there, though, suns and moons were the thing. They were everywhere, on everything... A lot of bootlegs and drugs are avaliable, too...

Check out my video clips from Portobello Road and Camden Market! You can watch some other London clips as well. Go to the video page!

Other markets are very small and quiet, and these are often known only to the local people and to collectors. One of these is the small bookmarket at Camden Passage ( Angel) - a nice place to spend a couple of hours on a Thursday. In London you can still get Häagen-Dazs ice cream - they have a nice café at Leicester Square. There's nothing quite like it.... I strongly recommend you to go on a guided walk. London Walks' guides are very talented actors, and you get a chance to get to know other people.

But London is not the only place to be in Britain.. Since I am a bit of an anglophile I travelled all around this beautiful country the summer of '95.
The train drivers were on strike, so me and a friend got stuck in Edinburgh for one day longer than we'd planned, but that was really good since the city had so much to offer. We also visited Glasgow, Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea, York, Oxford, Cambridge, Torqay, Bournemouth, Poole and Chester.
